The Content page is where everything that plays on your Players lives: images, videos, Playlists, Audio Playlists, Campaigns, Compositions, Apps, and Data Feeds. It is the first page you see when you log in to your OnSign account, and the place where you upload, organize, and publish your content. Each content type is explained at the end of this article.
The left panel

On the left, you see a panel with different sections:
- Content
- Players
- Player Groups
- Reports
- Published
This article covers the Content page only. The other sections are documented in their own articles. From any other page, select “Content” in this panel to come back here.
- Click the icon at the top of the left panel to collapse it. The labels are replaced with icons, which gives you more room to view your content.

Your account menu
At the bottom of the left panel you find your name, email address, and photo (if you uploaded one). Click it to open a pop-up menu.

From this menu you can:
- open your account settings;
- manage your OnSign subscription;
- download the player apps: Download Signage Players;
- open the tutorial collection: Articles;
- sign out from your OnSign account.
The content area
The main area of the Content page shows all your content. Folders appear at the top, and individual content items are shown below them as thumbnails.

- Each content type has its own color. Images are yellow and Videos orange. Campaigns are pink and Playlists blue. Apps are purple, Data Feeds are green, and Compositions are light blue.
- By default, your content is ordered by name, with numbers first and then letters. Right above the grey content area, next to the word Name, you can reverse the order (Z to A).
- The area where you read “Content”, to the right of the orange “New” button, shows where you are in your folder structure. Click it to jump directly to another location.
On the right of the content area, click the grid icon to switch between grid view and list view. In grid view, your content is shown as small tiles with a name and a thumbnail.

In list view, each item shows a very small thumbnail, the name, the last modified date, and the file size. In the header, where you could only order your content alphabetically before, you can now also order it by last modified date or by size.

The details panel
Click the small arrow next to the grid/list icon to open the details panel. Then select an item, either by clicking it or by ticking its checkbox (on the thumbnail in grid view, on the right in list view).

The panel shows two kinds of information. First, all available options for the selected item, such as publishing and deleting. Second, details about the content itself, like the file size and dimensions.
Scroll down in this panel to see how much storage your OnSign account uses and how much is left. This information is always visible, even when no item is selected.

Search and filters
Close the details panel and look at the search bar at the top right. You can search for content by name, and filter by folder, content type, approximate last modified date, or status, for example whether it is published.

Adding content
To add your own content, drag and drop your images and videos onto the content area, or click the orange “New” button. There you find an option to upload a file, plus several options to create the content types OnSign provides.

You will get to know these in more detail in other tutorials. In short:
- Upload a file: bring your own images and videos into your account.
- App: use one of the many pre-designed and dynamic content widgets in the OnSign library.
- Campaign: split your screen into several regions and fill each region with its own content loop.
- Composition: design on a free-form canvas and fill it however you like.
- Data Feed: build your own database or connect external sources like Google Sheets, and use it as a dynamic source for Apps and Compositions.
- Folder: keep your content tidy.
- Playlist: play a full-screen loop of content.
- Audio Playlist: play an audio track that is fully separate from your visual content.
Now you know your way around the Content page. Next, upload your first files and try creating a Playlist.
