You already know the benefit of Playlists instead of publishing Content to a Player one by one. You can also insert other Playlists into your Playlist.
This results in a nested Playlist Content structure where each child Playlist follows its own rules. One particular useful rule is Playback Mode Cycle Items which we'll explore in another tutorial.
With Cycle Items, the Playlist only plays one of its items per loop and the next one in the next loop, making your digital signage more diverse and dynamic.
Add Playlists to your Playlist just like any other Content.
- Open your Playlist.
- Scroll down to where your Content is listed in the left box. Browse for the Playlists you wish to add to the loop.
- Drag and drop the Playlists to the Playlist Content box on the right. Arrange the order you want to display them. On the left of every Playlist is an arrow which allows you to inspect the Content inside your Playlist.
- Confirm your selection with "Save" or “Save and Publish” at the bottom of the Playlist Editor.
